Part-Time, Virtual Position

Position Overview

​

We are seeking a highly motivated, sales-oriented individual to join our team as a Sponsorship Associate. 

 

This is a part-time, virtual position focused on identifying, engaging, and securing corporate and community sponsors for a range of ministry events that we organize throughout the year, with a current focus on the National Day of Prayer in Ottawa. 

 

The ideal candidate is passionate about connecting with local businesses and organizations, possesses strong communication skills, and is enthusiastic about furthering our mission through strategic sponsorship outreach.

 

Key Responsibilities

• Research and identify potential sponsors that align with our mission and event goals.

• Develop and maintain a database of prospective sponsors, including businesses, organizations, and community partners.

• Initiate outreach via email, phone, and virtual meetings to present sponsorship opportunities and build relationships.

• Customize sponsorship proposals to match the interests and objectives of potential partners.

• Negotiate sponsorship packages, benefits, and deliverables in collaboration with the event team.

• Work closely with internal staff to ensure sponsor expectations are met before, during, and after each event.

• Provide regular updates to leadership on outreach progress, secured sponsorships, and pipeline status.

• Represent the organization’s values and mission in all interactions with external partners.

 

Qualifications

​

• Previous experience in sales, fundraising, sponsorship recruitment, or business development is preferred.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Ability to build rapport and foster long-term relationships with diverse stakeholders.

• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and follow-through.

• Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and comfortable working independently in a virtual environment.

• Proficiency with standard office software and virtual communication tools.

• Alignment with the mission and values of our ministry.

 

Time Commitment & Compensation

​

This is a part-time, flexible virtual position. Compensation is competitive and commensurate with experience, with potential for performance-based incentives. Specific scheduling and hours will be discussed during the interview process.
