JOB DESCRIPTION

 

Position:              Digital Marketing Associate

Reporting to:       Executive Director

Compensation:    Commensurate with proven experience 

Hours:                  Event Contract, Potential for Hire As Employee Post Event

Work Centre:        Virtual 

 

We are seeking a Digital Marketing Associate to advance our mission through clear, compelling digital communications.

The initial focus for this position will be on the National Day of Prayer, July 9-11th.  If the successful candidate is the right fit, there may be an opportunity to join the team long term. 

 

This role supports our mandate by creating and managing content across digital channels, including email, social media, website, and online campaigns.

 

The ideal candidate is well-versed in best practices, a strong communicator, highly organized and motivated, creative, comfortable with editing software, comfortable using AI agents to increase productivity, and aligned with the ministry’s statement of faith and mission.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Help plan and run digital campaigns for programs, events, fundraising, and outreach.

  • Create, schedule, and publish content for social media, email, and the website, including video editing.

  • Write and edit copy that reflects the ministry’s voice, values, and mission.

  • Create basic graphics, videos, and other digital assets.

  • Update website(s) content to keep messaging accurate and consistent.

  • Monitor and respond to audience engagement across digital platforms.

  • Track campaign performance and report insights and recommendations.

  • Support donor communications and online fundraising with leadership and staff.

  • Maintain brand consistency across public communications and campaigns.

  • Stay current on digital trends, platform updates, and nonprofit best practices.

  • Work with staff, volunteers, and vendors to meet communication goals and deadlines.

 

Required Qualifications

 

  • Personal commitment to the Christian faith and agreement with the mission and values.

  • 3 years of experience in digital marketing, communications, social media management, or related work.

  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.

  • Experience with social media platforms, email marketing tools, reel usage, content management systems, and basic analytics tools.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines, and priorities with attention to detail.

  • Creative thinking, sound judgment, and a collaborative team-oriented approach.

  • Understanding of and sensitivity to communicating with the, donor, volunteer, and community audiences.

  • Preferred Qualifications

  • Ability to work and execute in a fast-moving environment with multiple priorities 

  • Experience working in a nonprofit or other mission-driven organization.

  • Familiarity with online fundraising, donor journeys, and audience engagement strategies.

  • Knowledge of SEO, paid digital advertising, and marketing automation.

  • Photography, video editing, or storytelling experience for promotion and testimony-based content.
